Stained glass FAQs

  • Pre-made items are sitting here in my studio, waiting for someone like you to take them home! These can be shipped quickly to your front door.

Made to order are patterns that already exist, and maybe have a few already made in the world, but I don’t have any in-stock. I’ll make a new one just for you, but it may take a few weeks to get to your front door.

  • It won’t need much, but a gentle clean with a damp cloth can make it shine.

Do not submerge it in water or scrub vigorously: you’ll risk removing the protective polish and patina.

  • With a sturdy hook or nail hammered vertically in a wooden windowframe.

Do not use suction cups; when suction cups fail (which they will!) they fall all at once, sending your art straight to the floor.

  • Some of them are! I, like most stained glass artists, learned on leaded solder which is the traditional technique.

New, non-leaded solders are now on the market and I am phasing out leaded solder. These are marked in my shop.

  • Maybe! And if I can’t, I may know someone who can!
